Eternal Return

*Based on Nietzsche´s idea of eternal return*

The world begins as 9 base tiles. The player can develop them into forests, rivers, cities, etc. However, without maintenance, these developments decay over time and eventually revert to their original base form, forcing the player to begin again.

The loop isn’t entirely deterministic, each return gives the player new opportunities to shape the world differently, with full knowledge of past outcomes.
